MEFCU staff donated Pop Tabs to the Ronald McDonald House in Rochester, helping to support families in need.
Mayo Employees Federal Credit Union (MEFCU) is proud to support the Ronald McDonald House Charities Midwest (RMHC Midwest) through a recent Pop Tab donation effort. Staff from our Rochester offices have been collecting aluminum tabs over the past several months, and we're excited to share that we've raised a total of 9.2 pounds of Pop Tabs!
The tabs were recently delivered to the Ronald McDonald House in Rochester, where they will be collected and brought to recycling facilities. There, they are weighed and exchanged for cash - with 100% of the proceeds directly supporting the Ronald McDonald House's mission of providing a "home-away-from-home" for families with children receiving medical care.
The funds raised through the Pop Tab Program go toward housing, meals, and other essential services for families during some of their most difficult times. Every tab makes a difference. Each year, the Pop Tab Program raises between $10,000-$15,000 for RMHC Midwest MN, WI, IA.

You can collect Pop Tabs, too! Simply remove the alumnium tabs from cans (this includes beverage cans, soup cans, fruit/vegetable cans, or pet food cans) and save them in a container. Once you've collected a batch, you can drop them off directly at RMHC Midwest in Rochester.
