I only want a business loan, why do I need a business savings account too?
The savings account is what establishes the credit union membership share for the business. In order to maintain membership in the credit union, a minimum balance of $5 is required in the savings account. This is essentially the business’s ownership share of the credit union. With the savings account established, any other loan or deposit products available to the business can be opened.
